University of Hertfordshire ก่อตั้งเมื่อปี 1952 แต่เดิมเป็น Technical College ตั้งอยู่ทางเหนือของเมือง London ประกอบไปด้วย 3 วิทยาเขต College Lane Campus, De Havilland และ The Bayfordbury Campus โดยแต่ละวิทยาเขตจะมีโรงเรียนที่สอนในหลักสูตรแตกต่างกันไป มหาวิทยาลัยได้รับรางวัลมหาวิทยาลัยยอดเยี่ยมที่สุดในสาขา Digital creative จาก Rookies rankings 2019
